This is the privacy statement of Billie Wonder B.V. (‘Billie Wonder’). On our website, our products can be bought by you. This Privacy Statement explains how we deal with personal information that we receive when you make use of our website.

Billie Wonder is committed to your privacy and ensures that any personal information we process is protected and treated confidentially. We appreciate that you trust us with your information. In this statement we explain what personal information we collect form you and for what exact purposes. Our privacy policy is in accordance with the EU General Date Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The collection of information by Billie Wonder

When you make use of our website or (one of) our other services, we may collect your information in order to deliver our products and services and to improve the customer experience on our website, and to improve any services. We receive your information because you directly provide it to us or because our systems collect this from you. We only collect certain information if you are a customer of our services (a customer is the person or company that makes a purchase with Billie Wonder or uses any of our services). By reading this Privacy Statement and checking a box to consent to our data processing when you sign up or place your order, you consent to the collection of your data.

 

Personal data

When you place an order via our website, we collect and use your personal details such as your name, your e-mail and physical address and the city and country you live in. The collection of your personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • to process payments in our webshop;
  • to contact you in order to carry out our services;
  • inform you about changes to our services and products;
  • delivery of our products to you;
  • keep you informed of changes to our general terms and conditions, and changes to this Privacy Statement;
  • processing personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data necessary for our tax return.

 

Technical data

If you are a consumer, we collect information about your device, network and internet connection when you visit our website and our store. Information that may be processed include: browser type, IP address, operating system details (version number and hardware ID) and network metrics (routes and latency).

We use this technical information to correctly provide our website and to optimize your experience. We may also use this information to provide helpful technical support when you encounter issues with our store.

We process technical information on the basis of our legitimate interest to do so, namely our legitimate business interest to provide our services and improve our services for the benefit of our customers and to provide technical support to our customers.

 

Duration

We will retain your personal information no longer than necessary for the purposes for which they are processed.

We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:

  • Essential data for accountability to the tax authorities: 7 years
  • Billing details: 2 years
  • Non-essential data: 6 months

 

Sharing your information

We will only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the provision of our products and services and the improvement of these services. We may also share your personal data with third parties if we are legally obliged to do so. We will explicitly never sell your personal data to third parties.

We will conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your personal data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Billie Wonder remains responsible for these processing operations.

 

Newsletter

We send news updates by e-mail to inform our customers of developments. You will only receive newsletters if you are subscribed, thereby giving your consent according to article 6 paragraph 1 sub a GDPR. Every newsletter features a link at the bottom that use to unsubscribe. You can also (un)subscribe via the footer of our website. We send our newsletters through Klaviyo, a system in which only your name and email address are stored.

Billie Wonder only makes use of technical and functional cookies. In addition we make use of analytical cookies, which do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferred settings. The cookies also enable us to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by adjusting the settings of your internet browser in such a way that no longer cookies are stored. In addition, you can also delete all information that has previously been stored via the settings of your browser.

 

Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of your information. Under the GDPR, when we process your information, you have certain rights as a Data Subject, namely the right to:

  • To access, to adjust or to delete your personal data;
  • To withdraw your consent for data processing purposes or to object to the processing of your personal data by Billie Wonder; and
  • On data portability. This means that you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, accepted and machine-readable format.

 

When Billie Wonder is the data processor of your personal information, you can exercise any of these rights directly against us by sending us an e-mail to: billie@billiewonder.com. We will try to respond to you within 4 weeks after reception of your request.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we will ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity. You are entitled to make the following parts of the copy illegible: the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.

Security measures

Billie Wonder takes reasonable administrative, physical and electronic security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure or any other form of unlawful processing of personal data.
